Adam Bewick, Ph.D.

I am currently a post-doctoral research associate in Dr. Jim Leebens-Mack's lab at the University of Georgia (UGA). My research focuses on evolutionary epigenetics and epigenomics in plants, particularly the base modification 5-methylcytosine (DNA methylation). I integrate functional genetics and genomics in a comparative framework to understand the generation of epigenomic variation and its contribution to inter- and intraspecific phenotypic variation.
